how do you feel about this peta ad that focuses on body image?
a billboard ad for PETA, copyright 2002.
PETA is known for its controversial skin baring campaigns. In this ad they focus on bodies again--but this time it's a guy's big gut on display and not a near-naked, nubile woman. Is this ad a funny, clever way to get their anti-meat message across? Or does it feed the insecurities of a weight-obsessed culture? Both?

My eloquent predecessors have accurately summed up my feelings on the matter. PETA is hardly credible, and this ad is stale and meaningless. --Posted by stolenelectron 04:37PM EST 09/02/08
