I drew in Illustrator with a tablet and a pen hooked up to the computer because it's very difficult to get a realistic brush stroke with just a mouse. When you draw with a mouse, you really can't vary how thick the line is, but a pen is pressure-sensitive on the tablet so you can get a really nice hand-drawn quality. Also, in Adobe Illustrator, you can resize the graphic without it looking all blurry.
