scrunchies
These handmade scrunchies are an easy gift, and low-cost.

Materials:
Rubber band (make sure it's strong!); fabric; sewing machine; needle and thread.
Instructions:
 1. Stretch out the rubber band as far as possible without breaking it, and measure the fabric to the length of the rubber band.
2. Cut the fabric to that length, making sure the fabric is wide enough to go all the way around the rubber band.
3. (You may need another pair of hands to help you with this part.) Keeping the rubber band stretched out, fold the fabric around the rubber band.
4. Now stitch the fabric all the way around so that it covers the rubber band.
5. Stitch the ends together, so that the loop is complete and you can no longer see the rubber band.
