Materials: Pretty juice boxes (the cardboard kind) or empty cans with nice labels; philodendron plants; scissors; water.
Instructions: 1. Empty the juice box or can. Remove the top completely. If using a juice box, leave an open rectangle.
2. Gently cut a leaf and its stem off of the plant.
3. Fill juice box or can halfway with water.
4. Place the cutting inside. Roots should form within a week or so.
5. Philodendron are hydroponic, so they don't need soil to grow and prosper. They also require very little light and are hard to kill. Simply instruct the receiver of your gift to change the water every once in a while.
