Here's a very cool and very cheap gift to make. And these bracelets come in any color you can find a toothbrush in!

Materials: Plastic toothbrush (make sure there is no rubber or other material on the toothbrush); tweezers; a pot for boiling water; tongs; dish towel; bowl of cold water.
Instructions: 1. Using the tweezers, pluck all of the bristles from the toothbrush.
2. Boil the toothbrush in the pot of water for a few minutes.
3. Once the toothbrush is soft enough to bend, take it out of the pot with tongs. (You can take it out once in a while to check and see if it's soft enough. Don't keep it in for too long because it will melt.)
4. Drop the toothbrush into the dish towel and quickly bend it into the shape of a bracelet. Put it in cold water briefly and then see if it fits around your wrist. If it doesn't fit quite right, just put it back into the boiling water and try again.
