Finally, and most importantly, be nice to bands. Pay them what they earned, give them props when needed (especially if they had a difficult crowd) and always invite them back to play. This doesn't necessarily mean you want them to play again, but you should always offer. Bands are the reason you are doing this. Without the bands, you don't have any of this hipster baloney that keeps you cool, even though you can't play anything.
