publicity: how to write a press release
Press releases are important for publicity. You can make them really easily.
Here is a sample press release:

(Title)

123 Oak Street, Middletown, CA, 00000
Exhibit runs (date) to (date)
Opening reception with artist (date) (hours)
ABC Gallery hours: (date and times)

(Your name) is having a solo art show (Title) at the ABC Gallery. The ABC Gallery is located at (location). The exhibit runs from (date) to (date). The opening reception is at (date and time). ABC Gallery is open (open hours).
Your next two paragraphs should be about yourself (why you are newsworthy). Talk about what kind of art you do, what you like and any interesting things about you. Just the fact that you are a teenage girl should make the reporters interested. There aren't a lot of us having art shows! The last paragraph should have contact info, in case they want to get in touch with you or the gallery.
