finishing off
When you've made the front to a sufficient size you are going to have to finish off the stitch.

1. Cut the yarn about four inches from your last stitch.
2. Hook the "tail" (the part of the yarn that's not the working yarn) and pull it through the loop on your hook.
3. Pull the tail so that the knot is tight.
