Fashion stylists offer their skills in many ways, such as doing personal styles for clients or being personal shoppers for modeling agencies and getting paid by day, hour or a percentage of the item's price.

"I love being a fashion stylist because it gives me an edge on what's coming and what has come," says Natalie Richardson, a sophomore at University of Georgia. "Kind of like your past, present and future. I always loved to play dress up with my friends. And now they are my clients."
