Masturbation is touching your own genitals for pleasure. Girls often masturbate by touching different parts of their bodies like the vulva, clitoris, labia, vagina, anus or breasts. Many women use their hands to masturbate, but it is also perfectly normal and healthy to use a toy like a vibrator. If a girl masturbates, it doesn't mean that she is a pervert, a sex addict, lonely or can't get a date. All it means is that she is exploring and enjoying her body.
Unfortunately, this isn't always the message we get about masturbation and as a result, a lot of girls have many concerns about this natural act.
So why does masturbation often seem like such a taboo subject? Some people think it's because the Bible condemns the act. However, the Bible does not actually address masturbation directly.
In fact, it appears that much of the religious opposition to masturbation is based on an interpretation of a biblical passage about a man named Onan who used the withdrawal method to prevent pregnancy. Nevertheless, many contemporary religions still teach that masturbation (or any other sexual activity outside of marriage) is wrong. In reality, this is really just a matter of personal conviction, as there is no scientific evidence that masturbation is harmful.
