I got my tattoo in September of 2007. Tattoos are a big deal for my two oldest brothers; they each have at least three. I decided that once I turned 18, I wanted to get a tattoo as well. I thought about it a lot and designed my tattoo based on what I thought I wouldn't regret forever.
I chose a design that was shaped like an "S" for my last name, and contains 12 stars--one star for each member of my family and my friends that mean the most to me. My third older brother got his first tattoo the same day I did, and held my hand the whole time.
