My sunflower on my back is something I wanted for a long time. I had always wanted a sun tattoo because, to me, the sun represents--as cheesy as this might sound--light, life, love, happiness, growth, a new day and new beginnings. I can never be down when it is sunny because the sun just fills me with happiness and love.
I had wanted an actual sun on my back for a long time, but decided a sunflower would look more original and much prettier. This was my first tattoo, which I gave to myself as an 18th birthday present. I couldn't be happier about it.
