I'm not sure if everyone has heard, but here in San Diego there have been about a dozen large fires spreading from here all the way up to Orange County, destroying homes, buildings, pets, ranches and even people. I think about 600,000 people have been evacuated, and I'm just thankful that my family and friends are okay.
A few of my friends DID have to get evacuated, but were eventually allowed to go back to their homes--though one friend of mine is currently in the ICU and 60% of his body is covered in 3rd degree burns. His father also passed away, which finally brings me back to what I'm EXTREMELY thankful for.
I'm thankful for every minute I get to live a healthy life with both parents, all of my family and my friends. Not everyone has it as easy as we do, and it's sad that a lot of people don't realize that...
