I would propose the legalization of medical marijuana in all 50 states. I would also propose the legalization of recreational marijuana, but keep the age and controlled substance laws very similar to those of alcohol.
I would ban abstinence-only education in all public schools.
I would totally dump the "No Child Left Behind" act and start over with a better plan that isn't based so much on standardized testing.
I would try my hardest to create an amendment that outlaws any marriage discrimination based on gender (except for in church because the church has a right to refuse to partake in activities it doesn't agree with.) Civil Unions would be legal marriages.
I would try to establish universal healthcare and would tax-fund birth control. Making birth control easier to obtain for cheap or free would minimize the number of abortions in our country.
And I would rip up the Patriot Act and wipe my ass with it.
