If I were president, I'd address a number of issues. I'd consider myself a personal conservative with moderate views in mind for the country. First, I would tackle the Iraq war and decide if our country's strategies are working. If not, I'd pull the troops out of Iraq and allow the sectarian violence to solve their own issues, because this country does not need another war like the Vietnam. This war is causing us to lose our heart.
After the war, I'd change immigration policies. I'd look at those in the process of getting permanent residency and determine who is here to reap the benefits of America, which would help me discern if there would be amnesty.
Next, I'd deal with other national issues like include gay marriage, the slipping education rate, social security, turning America into a green nation and health care.
