With a million dollars, I'd put some away for later in life and then give some to my aunt and mom to put away for my brother's and my cousin's education. Then I'd pay for my grandma's knee-surgery that she's needed for a few years, and I'd make sure my aunt lost enough weight so she'll be able to live longer. I'd get my parents out of this financial situation we've fallen into, and make sure all of them were living comfortably. If I had money after that, I'd buy books to give to children in India, and start a foundation that would teach poor children there how to read.
