Crocheting can seem a bit daunting at first, but have no fear; once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple. Essentially it's all about pulling one loop of yarn through another loop of yarn. There are about a zillion variations of crocheting you can do by combining different stitches, types of needles, and weights and fiber of yarns.
This guide will teach you the basics of crocheting and how to use those skills to make your own personalized bikini. We'll be using four types of stitches: chaining, double crocheting, increasing and decreasing. (Don't worry... you'll know what all that means soon enough.)
We recommend you practice a little before you jump into your first big project. Try each stitch on some practice yarn, then when you feel comfortable, start over with the yarn for your bikini.
