Death is hard to deal with, whether you're coping with the death of someone you love or obsessing about death itself. Here is a list of sites that can help:

  • U Lifeline: A teen-friendly site that links teens to professionals and information about everything from suicide to depression and anxiety.
  • Children Mourning Parental Suicide: An online support group for exactly what it sounds like--kids and teens whose parents have committed suicide. They also have a support group for teens who've attempted suicide or self injury (HOPE for Suicide Attempters) and for friends of teens who've committed suicide (SMHAI Youth Friends & Families).
  • Mental Help Net: This site has lots of info on death and dying--statistics, how to deal, strategies for coping, and an overview of the grieving process. It also provides on other important topics like eating disorders, depression, divorce and even health disorders.
  • Suicide & Mental Health Association International: Focuses on suicide prevention, recognizing signs and symptoms, and provides resources for treatment options, including a list of mental health providers.
  • Suicide Awareness Voices of Education: This site can help with info and strategies to prevent suicide and links to other resources.
