Cat/Cow
It's good to begin by warming up the spine, and cat/cow also keeps that connection to the breath going.
Come to your hands and knees as if you were going to crawl, with the wrists directly below the shoulders and the knees below the hips.
As you inhale, drop your belly toward the floor, lift your tailbone, draw your shoulders down your back, and raise your gaze to the sky. This is cow position.
As you exhale, arch your spine in a continuous motion, imagining space between your vertebrae as you drop your head, tuck your tailbone, and draw your navel in toward your spine. This is cat.
Continue at your own pace for about ten breaths, keeping the movement in sync with your inhale and your exhale.
