You can easily create your own yoga "studio" at home. You just need enough floor space to spread your arms and legs wide and jump around without worrying about banging into something. It would also be good to have some free wall space where you can practice handstands and headstands. You will definitely need a yoga or "sticky" mat, too, because without the gripping action of a mat you'll slip all over the place. The only rule about yoga clothing is that you are comfortable and able to move freely. These days, thanks to yoga's popularity, there are so many lines of yoga clothes (even at Target), it's easy to be comfortable and look cute too.
As you're trying out the poses, don't forget to have fun! Yoga may offer some serious benefits, but without humor and a sense of playfulness, you won't fully experience the practice. The less embarrassed you are about looking silly, falling down or making weird sounds, the more likely it is that one day you will wake up, do your yoga practice and say to yourself, "Actually, I feel like a goddess."
