Article Image It is common for a person with AD/HD to have trouble in school. Reading, math and spelling are some of the subjects someone with AD/HD may struggle with, and about 50% of those with AD/HD repeat a grade. School work is not the only thing that is disrupted; behavioral problems are also common. According to research, 46% of those with AD/HD have been suspended, while 11% have been expelled from a school.

ADHD can occasionally cause trouble in relationships. For instance, a person may be more likely to interrupt others, lose his or her temper or overreact to things. He or she may also have a tendency to forget things, as well as not pay attention when someone is speaking. It can be harder to maintain friendships and relationships as a result. (Hmm...we're thinking every ex we've ever had must have had AD/HD. Just kidding.)
