Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances, comments or touching. It is a form of sex discrimination that is against the law, and violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This law was initially created to protect working women; however, today, it is used to protect people of all genders.
Some examples of sexual harassment are: subtle pressure for sexual activity, patting or pinching, deliberate brushing against another person's body, "friendly" arms around the shoulder, deliberate assault or molestation, sexually explicit or pornographic pictures posted in view of all employees and explicit offers of money for sex.
