A: It's impossible for me to say whether you're gay. During the teen years and young adulthood, many people struggle to discover who they are and that includes trying to figure out whether they're gay (homosexual), straight (heterosexual) or bi (bisexual)

Some people have sexual experiences with people of the same gender when they are young, but grow up to be heterosexual. And, some have sexual experiences with people of the opposite gender when they are young, but grow up to be homosexual.

Many people -- teens and adults -- have sexual thoughts or fantasies about people of the same gender without necessarily being gay.

A person's sexual orientation is something that develops over time. Your feelings, not just behaviors, will eventually help you decide whether you're gay, straight or bisexual.

It's probably a bad idea to label yourself now. Just try to figure out how you feel toward different people and in different situations. Try to figure out what makes you happy.
