Sexual harassment can be tricky because there are no hard rules for what it is. What may be considered sexual harassment by one person may not be the case for another. For example, while someone may be offended or creeped out by receiving a hug from a boss, another person may not.
"Quid pro quo" is Latin for "one thing in return for another" (as defined by the dictionary). In relation to sexual harassment, quid pro quo is when something positive happens at work/school (for example, a raise or an "A" on a test) because of giving in to a sexual advance from a superior or other person with "power."
