Can anyone submit a picture?
Yup, as long as you're a registered member of gURL. If you are not a member, join now. It's free and fast to sign up. Once you're registered, you have to make sure you're logged into the site. From there, you can click the link "submit a photo." It's on the left hand side of the page and has a camera icon next to it. Fill in the form, hit submit and your picture should be up on the site in a matter of minutes.

Are there any requirements for pictures I want to submit?
Yes, the picture size cannot be larger than 500kb. Ideal dimensions for your picture would be no wider than 365 pixels and/or no taller than 600 pixels. The file formats we support are .jpg and .gif. Before you upload your picture, please check to see if it is in focus and the image file is correctly oriented and does not need to be rotated. Once you have uploaded a picture, you cannot alter it. Please do not submit the same picture more than once in the same category or it will be removed.

What's the difference between a gallery and a category?
Each gallery is a different theme or subject and each category is a sub-section of that gallery. So for example, if a gallery were titled "Colors," the categories for that gallery would be "black, white, red, etc..."

I can't find a gallery or category for my picture...
If we don't have a gallery or category that you want, make a suggestion! On the left hand side of the page, there's a link called "Suggest a gallery or category." Click that link, fill in the form and hit the submit button.

How do I move from one gallery or category to the next?
To get to a specific gallery from the main page: Click on the gallery name to go directly into that gallery. Once inside a gallery, you can choose to view a featured photo, most recent photo or photos from a specific category.

You'll also see a list of categories for that gallery on the bottom of the gallery main page. You can click on those links to go to each separate category, or you can use the drop down menu titled "view by category."

If you are inside one category and would like to move into another, select the category you would like from the drop down menu titled "view by category."

You can also look for photos by date by using the drop down menu titled "view by date posted."

How do I get back to the main photo page once I'm inside a specific gallery or category?
To get back to the main page, click on the big image at the top of the page that says, "gURL photos."

I just saw an inappropriate comment and/or photo. What should I do?
If you see an inappropriate comment or photo, please click on the link "flag this comment/photo as may offend." Fill out the form and hit submit. A message will be sent to one of the gURL community moderators.

Once my pic is in a gallery, how do I email it to my friend?
After you've uploaded your photo and it has appeared in the photo gallery, you will notice an "email page" button underneath your photo (it has a little envelope next to it). Click on this button and fill out the form. (You are allowed to send this page to five people at a time.) Click "submit" to send the message.

I want to delete or change my photo...
If you want your photo removed from the photo gallery, please send an email to support@gurl.com. In the subject line put, "Photo Gallery Request." In the email, make sure you include your gURL member name, the link to your photo and the reason for the change.
