As if the Ohio football team rape case couldn’t get any more horrifying, there’s more: Steubenville rape pictures were taken at the time, and they’ve made their way online.

You may remember last week when the Anonymous hackers group posted a video of some sadistic guys bragging about the brutal gang rape of an unconscious 16-year-old girl. The whole thing is sick, twisted, and super disturbing. But the only silver lining here is that these idiots who were so proud of the atrocity that they committed were also stupid enough to document it–and it’s what wound up getting some of them caught. (Like the Justin Bieber pot pics, only, you know, super harmful.)

Now, cell phone photos indicate that there may be two more victims of the Steubenville rape epidemic.

A football teammate of Ma’lik Richmond and Trent Mays–the guys being charged with the rape of the first victim–had photos of two other girls on his phone in various states of consciousness and undress. They’re lying face down on the same carpet that the photos of the first victim showed. Uh, what is wrong with these people?

The only reason the pigs that recorded this aren’t being charged with it is because some of them were smart enough to erase the photos before cops confiscated their phones for the investigation.

More details about the rape that got everyone talking are emerging, too, and they’re horrifying. Seriously, read on at your own risk:

Apparently, following a football win, the guys were eating at a friend’s house together when they started texting people to come party. The rape victim was one of them, and she was supposedly friends with some of the guys–a few of whom were said to have dated her, so you’d think they’d have more consideration or respect for her, her safety, her well-being, her humanity. Nope.

There were multiple parties that night, and in testimony, people said they saw her drinking from a cup at the first party–and that’s it. When she got to the second party, she wasn’t coherent and needed help walking. Who helped her? Trent Mays and Ma’lik Richmond, who were the same guys who allegedly raped her. Chances are she was so out of it that their help standing made her feel safe enough around them to let her guard down–that’s if she was even coherent enough to make that kind of a decision.

The victim threw up in the street, then left that party with Trent Mays and Ma’lik Richmond–who assaulted her in the car ride on the way to the next party. By this time, a witness who recorded the incident–and then deleted it–said she was talking, but no one could understand what she was saying. At the third party, she was completely silent. At one point, two of the guys held her by the wrists and ankles and led her into the basement. Once in the basement, she threw up again, then sat on the floor and fell to her side.

Shortly after that, a witness came into the basement and said she was on her stomach naked on the floor.

Ma’lik raped her while Trent tried shaking her shoulders to wake her up, and she was totally unresponsive.

Someone sent a photo of the girl to her mom’s phone–and then her parents took her to the hospital and to the police. Okay, can you just imagine for a second what that had to have been like? For her? For her mom?

No one’s sure what was in the cup at the first party, and too much time passed between the assault and when she reported it to run a toxicology test to see if she’d been drugged–though it sure sounds like she was, because it’s very, very hard to get blackout drunk and sick from one beverage unless it’s laced with someone a lot more sinister. What’s more, the victim showered–which got rid of physical and DNA evidence.

This is not the victim’s fault. She didn’t even know what happened to her. She had no recollection of anything after the first party. Chances are, she’s learning the details as quickly as the police and courts are. And even if she did remember and chose to shower and not report it? That doesn’t mean the rape is her fault. Ever.

The only people at fault for the Steubenville rape are the Steubenville rapists–and the disgusting excuses for human beings who recorded the incident instead of intervening and helping the victim. The very least they could have done was retain the evidence, accept responsibility and help bring these other monsters to justice. Our thoughts are with the victims, and may these atrocities be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They’ve earned it.

Does “Fashion Police” make Kelly Osbourne bully stars? Lady Gaga thinks so–but Sharon Osbourne has other ideas. | Source: WENN

Does Kelly Osbourne bully people and get paid for it? That’s the argument that Lady Gaga made when Kelly accused Gaga of not controlling her fans, who reportedly harassed her on Twitter. It turned into a battle of magazine quotes, open letters and even Sharon Osbourne got involved. C’mon, girls, cut this crap out.

Here’s how it started. Kelly Osbourne said in an interview that Lady Gaga’s fans, affectionately dubbed Little Monsters, bully her online, usually about her weight–something she’s struggled with for a while. (For the record, I think she looks great, and I love her purple hair to pieces.) Here’s what she had to say: “I’m the thinnest I’ve ever been and the healthiest I’ve ever been,” she said. “I get called fat all the time. A big fat whore.” So she’s being called fat and slut shamed at the same time? Awesome. She added, “Lady Gaga’s fans are the worst. They’ve said I should kill myself, that they hope I get raped. I mean it’s crazy, but I’ve had this all my life and I just try and ignore it.”

First of all, no one should have to deal with that. Ever. Anyone who wishes rape or suicide on anyone has real issues and should probably hop onto Lady Gaga’s Born Brave Bus to get themselves some help.

Lady Gaga fired back at Kelly Osbourne’s bullying allegations, and she made a pretty valid point: People watch Kelly Osbourne bully other people every week on Fashion Police. Here’s her letter:

Dear Kelly,

While I wish you had reached out to me personally, as the head of the Born This Way foundation with my mother Cynthia we would like to respond. Everyday, through my music and public voice I choose to be positive and work towards a kinder and braver world with our community of followers. I encourage them to ignore criticism, stand up to bullies, know their own value and see that we are all the same and no one person is worth more than another. I know I’m perceived as a wild child, but in reality I am woman that deeply cares for humanity. I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgment, and rating people’s beauty against one another. “Appearance” is the most used reason for bullying in the world. Your show breeds negativity, and over the years has even become comedic in nature. It glorifies you and Joan Rivers pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals. What about your body revolution? It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story? I am pointing this out not to take a crack at your character, as we’ve met before and you’re lovely. However, I urge you to take responsibility and accountability for the example that you are setting for young people. They look up to you because you are famous, and if you treat others that way on TV, many adolescents at home on twitter assume your actions are acceptable: well if she does it, why can’t I? I cannot control my fans, and I discourage them from any negativity and violence, because that is wrong and hurtful — and I do feel badly that your feelings were hurt. However, we can all do our part in the media to set a standard of respect, compassion, and love. I wish for you to be treated with the kindness and respect that everyone deserves. While some of my fans have learning to do, most of them share the same values as I, and it’s what bonds us together. And that bond is strong.

Basically, Lady Gaga politely called Kelly Osbourne out on her hypocrisy. It’s also worth it to note that in the press, we’ve seen Kelly Osbourne bully others, including Christina Aguilera, about their weight–and she even said Lady Gaga may have been pregnant when she was spotted looking a bit fuller than we’re used to seeing her. To be fair, that may not have been deliberately mean–it may have just been a guess–but why is she talking about anyone else’s weight when she knows how terrible it feels?

Of course, Kelly’s mom Sharon got in on the mix, releasing a letter of her own to criticize Lady Gaga for wearing fur and dresses made of raw meat. Sharon also says that the Kelly Osbourne bully we see on Fashion Police is representative of “the real world.” (You can read the full letter here.)

For the record, I think wearing fur is dumb because it’s usually not even pretty enough to justify skinning an animal for it, and I can’t even imagine the health risks associated with having raw meat all over you. But Sharon Osbourne is missing the point and talking in circles. While it’d be awesome if everyone respected all life equally, Lady Gaga’s point was about seeing Kelly Osbourne bully other people. How are we supposed to extend courtesy and love to animals if we can’t even tolerate each other?

Gaga never encouraged her fans to bully anyone ever. It’s something a few particularly disturbed Little Monsters did on their own free will, earning the “Little Monster” nickname for all the wrong reasons. She discourages this behavior, but she can’t be a babysitter.

The fact is, it’s horrible that Kelly Osbourne is bullied by anyone, be it Lady Gaga’s fans, Joan Rivers on a bad day, or strangers online. But the fact that she makes a living promoting similar behavior instead of rising above it and doing something to prevent it from happening to anyone else is sad. Most of the time Fashion Police isn’t even that entertaining, which is astounding when you consider that not only is Kelly on the panel, but so is one of the greatest female comedians ever. It just seems too easy, too thoughtless, and too cheap to pick on people for what they look like–especially when you’ve dealt with it yourself.

Is Lady Gaga looking for attention? Yes. She usually is. But she’s also bringing awareness to a bigger problem, and that’s commendable. It sounds like Kelly and Sharon are just a little upset that in this case, she’s right.

Wondering how to date a man you like? According to “The Rules,” you have to leave him hanging. Lame! | Source: ShutterStock

A while ago, a book called The Rules came out, and it was basically a guide on how to date a man. A completely stupid, pointless guide that set women back about 40 years. Now, in the world of Facebook, match.com, and the like, an updated guide is available to set us back 20 more years, making that a total of 60.

The gist of it all? “If you want a guy to like you, don’t do anything. Just exist.” And I mean, fine–you’re wonderful, and that should be enough. But “The Rules” explain that how to date a man is actually to appear almost totally uninterested. You can’t approach him first, you can’t IM him first, nothing.

This is problematic for a few reasons. One, it’s pretty pointless to not go after what you want and just expect things to come to you. Two, if you act like you’re not interested, guess what? Guys may well assume you’re not interested, and they’ll move on to someone who makes no mistake that they like him back. And three? Well, it’s boring.

To be fair, some of their rules on how to date a man are fair enough: We like their “No contact after midnight” rule, because, well, those are booty call hours. If you’re looking for a hookup, by all means–but if you want him to date you, it’s probably a good idea to wait til the AM to respond.

Thankfully, a lot of us are smart enough to not buy into this nonsense. A new survey says 79 percent of us take the “why wait?” philosophy and initiate contact with dudes we dig online, whether it’s through a friend request, a tweet, or whatever. However, 71 percent of ladies agree with the book, which says to wait half an hour before texting a guy back–and 10 percent leave a dude hanging for four hours. Seems sort of hypocritical considering it drives you nuts when guys do that to you, doesn’t it?

Basically, The Rules wants you to start a relationship–or rather, wants the guy to start a relationship–based on game playing. It doesn’t sound like a really solid foundation, does it?

Our advice? Ignore all the rules on how to date a man. The real guide to how to date a man who deserves you–and the least stressful method–is to just be yourself and treat a guy the way you’d want him to treat you!

In “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1″ movie, a deleted scene shows a steamy sex talk between Bella and Edward (Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson)! | Source: YouTube

The clip isn’t a sex scene, but rather a sex talk between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as Bella and Edward are in the kitchen the morning after they basically break the bed. Turns out, having sex for the first time may have destroyed the headboard, but at least one piece of bedding survived their, well, bedding.

“Pillow survived,” a still-human Bella says. Robert Pattinson, in all his red-eyed, pale skinned glory as the brooding vamp grins, “Practice makes perfect, right?” Hey-yo!

It turns out, having sex wasn’t the most terrible thing in the world for Bella, and Kristen Stewart sort of nails her vulnerable, morning after state. “I did not know how good being human could be,” she says. R-Pattz smirks and chuckles, “So sex was the key after all!”

Then they pretty much start making out and priming themselves for round two. And it’s not just a sex talk–in the scene, Bella and Edward are actually talking about how Bella is balking at becoming a vampire because, well, sex feels good as a human.

Why was the sex talk edited out? Aside from being a bit too steamy for a lot of Twilight‘s younger fans, it turns out, the director said there was just a whole lot of action to pack into one movie.

“As Twilight series devotees know, there was a lot of ground to cover in adapting Breaking Dawn to the screen. Between the wedding, the honeymoon, the birth, and everything in between, naturally there were things that didn’t make it into our final cut,” Bill Condon said in a statement. “But I wanted to make sure that for all the Twihards out there, there was a chance to see some of these cut scenes–several of which are fan favorites from the book.”

The steamy sex talk scene will be in the Breaking Dawn: Part 1 Extended Edition DVD, which hits shelves March 2. Start counting down, Twihards! In the meantime, you can watch the scene here!

Here’s how it happened: I was home alone, and I have a habit of sitting with one leg curled under me. As a result, that foot falls asleep a lot. My doorbell rang, I ran downstairs to answer, and wound up twisting the heck out of my foot. Because it was asleep, I didn’t feel it right away–but when I got to my front door, I thought I was going to die. (For the record: It was a stranger asking me if I needed Jesus. After yelping in agony, I informed him that he would meet Jesus if they didn’t get off of my porch.)

I wound up breaking a bone in that foot (my metatarsus, which sounds like a dinosaur, doesn’t it?), so I couldn’t work out much . . . so I taught myself how to bake to pass the time. I’m not sure why I didn’t expect the end result to be none of my pants fitting, but whatever.

In any case, during that year, I got hit on more than I ever have in my entire life. I figured, “Okay, Jess. You look better with some more meat on your bones. Maybe that’s how to get a boy to like you.” Everywhere I went–the mall, the movies, parties–dudes wouldn’t leave me alone. I went to one concert and left with three different guys’ numbers. It was insane.

Thing is, the guys were all sort of creepy. The ones I bothered calling or answering were all very forward and clearly only after one thing. And it was sex. Apparently eating cake isn’t how to get boys to like you anywhere other than bed. (And none of them got me there.)

I had an epiphany this afternoon about that whole time, though. Once my foot healed, I didn’t get hit on as much–even though I didn’t shed all that weight right away. I realized: Maybe it wasn’t my change in weight. Maybe it was my limp.

My theory? If you’re desperate to know how to get a boy to like you and you don’t really care if he has creepy vibes, injure a lower limb, or maybe just stub your toe really hard. If you have a limp, guys will approach you. Not necessarily because they think you’re super cute (even though you are), but probably because they don’t think you’ll be able to run away fast enough to reject them. You’ll be beating them off with a stick. Or, you know, crutches.

Facebook may raise your self-esteem–but can it also make you fat?! | Source: ShutterStock

Apparently, interacting with your pals on Facebook can up your self-esteem, which is awesome, right? Right. Unfortunately, a side effect of that raised self-esteem is less self control, which can affect what you eat–and how much you eat of it.

A new study says that people who use Facebook most have a body mass index (BMI) of about 26, while people who log in less are at about 24. (A normal BMI is typically between 18 and 24.9, but BMI isn’t necessarily an indicator of health–it doesn’t account for muscle weight, which weighs more than fat, and there’s a lot more to the equation than this!) High Facebook use was also linked to binge eating, but again, correlation doesn’t mean causation. But it does make you think about those times you sort of plowed through a bag of Doritos without even realizing it while you were lurking your ex’s pictures. Ahem.

Further, the more time you spend on your newsfeed instead of reading the actual news appears to have an effect on your food choice: People in a study who read their Facebook feed for a while and people who read the news were each given the choice between a cookie and a granola bar. The Facebook users chose the cookie, while most of the news readers took the granola bar. Again, it may just be this particular panel–if you’re truly hungry, too, you’ll probably spring for a granola bar, too. There are a lot of different things at play here.

One of the researchers explained it like this: The self-esteem boost you get from Facebook is what may ultimately make you fat, not Facebook itself. “A bit of self-awareness can help you avoid engaging in this behavior. Facebook is not the problem. It’s the feeling of entitlement that’s the problem.”

That’s because it’s a self-esteem boost that is sort of artificial: It’s not the kind of feeling good about yourself that comes from actually doing things or accomplishing something, like, say, working out. And when you get the rush of 50 Facebook “likes” in a row, you’re more likely to want to hang around and surf your social network a bit more instead of heading out for a sprint, right? And when you’re vegging out, you’re also more prone to reach for junk food. When you feel good about yourself and cookies are nearby, you’re sort of like, “Hey, I earned it!” See the pattern here?

At the end of the day, Facebook can’t really make you fat. And if something improves your self-esteem, dude–we’re all for it, because we think you’re awesome, and we want you to know you’re rad, too. But just make sure you have a balance between your awesome digital life and your awesome real life–so your self-esteem isn’t dictated by comments on your Facebook status. You’re better than that!

The effects of diet soda and other diet drinks have been debated–and now depression might be one of them! | Source: ShutterStock

There are some awesome effects of diet soda: You can enjoy the sweetness and bubbles of something delish without packing on the calories, which is a big incentive. Diabetics can enjoy soda without affecting their blood sugar, which lessens the feeling of missing out. Sounds pretty win-win, right?

Well, it might not be. There have been lots of reports about negative effects of diet soda that have had questionable results and findings–no one’s really sure if it causes cancer (so far, you’d have to drink a whole lot for a really, really long time to show any changes–and they’ve only studied mice, so take it with an enormous grain of salt) or makes you gain weight by increasing cravings for sweets (what a cruel world!). Now, another possible effect of diet soda has emerged: It’s being linked to depression. Yikes!

New studies have found that people who drink four or more sodas of any kind every day were 30 percent more likely to suffer from depression that people who didn’t drink as much soda at all. People who drank diet soda were 32 percent more likely to be depressed than people who didn’t drink soda daily, and diet soda drinkers were almost 10 percent more likely to have depression than people who drank regular soda. Phew, that’s a lot of numbers–got all that?

Good, because there’s more: Diet soda isn’t the only culprit. Apparently diet fruit drinks might bum people out, too. People who drank diet fruit drinks daily had a 51 percent higher chance of being depressed than people who didn’t.

We’re like, “But they’re so delicious! Say it ain’t so!”

Thankfully, it was just a link, not a direct cause. The researchers admit there are a ton of other factors that can affect your likelihood of depression: Your BMI, family history, stress, and just how your life is going in general.

There is, however, a drink that may stave off depression: Coffee. The same study showed that people who gulp down four or more cups of java a day were less likely to be depressed. That may be because caffeine acts as a brain stimulant–or just because it’s so yummy–but the jury is still out.

We’re not trying to make you panic and throw all your Diet Coke into a river. That would be terrible for the aquatic life. But maybe just don’t drink so much of any one thing all of the time, whether it’s diet soda, fruity diet drinks or regular stuff. Maybe those people were depressed because they didn’t get a ton of variety in their hydration. Seriously, the same thing all the time? Boring!

I met Derek at a friend’s party. He was pretty cute–he sorta looked like a blond Tyson Ritter. We hit it off and made each other laugh, so we exchanged numbers and I agreed to go out with him later that week.

Our first date went well, though he was a bit showy and a little loud for my taste, but I attributed that to nerves. On paper, he was rad: Cute, funny, studying to be an engineer, polite and he had a motorcycle. (I love riding). I went out with him two more times to feel everything out and decide whether or not I liked him. On the third date, I decided I really didn’t like him.

We were waiting to get seated at a restaurant, so we sat at the bar watching some of the TVs and chatting when some guy friends of mine that I hadn’t seen in forever walked in and made a beeline for us. There was nothing romantic going on between any of these dudes and me–they were pals I’d had for years.

I hugged everyone hello and introduced them to Derek, and we all talked for a bit. Realizing I was on a date, my dude friends kindly started to leave for another section. They’d just turned around and started walking when Derek decided he wasn’t getting enough attention–and slapped me in the face.

I was more stunned than anything else, because, well, there was no warning. We weren’t play fighting. We weren’t really fighting. No one forgot a safe word. It was out of nowhere.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and was just like, “Wait. You just did what?”

Derek responded by laughing–and then hitting me again on the other side of my face. By then, I’d run out of cheeks–of that kind, at least–to turn. I was still somewhat stunned, but I was coherent enough to know I needed to get the hell out of there.

I’m not sure how no one else saw what happened (he likely timed it strategically), or if no one just wanted to get involved, but that didn’t matter to me at the time. I left Derek sitting at the bar, caught up with my guy friends, and we left together. I didn’t even tell them what happened until we were far enough away that they wouldn’t turn their cars around and go to kick the crap out of him. I didn’t go to the cops or anything, though it probably would have prevented him from pulling that crap with someone else if I did. Plus, since no one did anything when it happened, I figured it’d be my word against his. At the time, I just wanted to get out.

In retrospect–hindsight’s always 20/20, right?–I can sort of see some signs. He was very “me me me,” and one of my girlfriends said he seemed a bit off. Still, a lot of the traditional dating violence signs–isolating you from your loved ones, negging you to the point that you think you’re worthless without him–weren’t there. Yet. Then again, it was only date three. Who knows what could have went down if I stuck around longer?

A 4Chan Twitter hoax called #cutting4Bieber encouraged pics of girls cutting after Justin Bieber was caught smoking weed. | Source: WENN

Girls cutting is never funny, nor is cool, healthy or trendy. Girls cutting for Justin Bieber? Even worse. But that became a trending topic on Twitter this week after he was caught smoking weed . . . but it wasn’t real.

Troll group 4Chan devised a somewhat elaborate Twitter hoax, compiling disturbing images of girls cutting their wrists and posting with the hashtag “#cutting4Bieber.” WTF?! People mistook the hoax as a legit group of Beliebers taking to their inner arms to send Justin Bieber a message–even Miley Cyrus spoke out on the dangers of girls cutting and how this isn’t a matter to be taken lightly.

I’m not saying any topic is off limits jokewise–that’s dumb, and humor is subjective. But actively encouraging anyone else to self-harm, especially a group that can be as impressionable and group-minded as Beliebers can, is both irresponsible, sick, and sort of just . . . evil.

The 4Chan hoax began on the troll group’s message boards, where some sick puppy wrote, ”Tweet a bunch of pics of people cutting themselves and claim we did it because Bieber was smoking weed. See if we can get some little girls to cut themselves.”

See the difference there? They’re actively doing something with the intent for to get girls cutting themselves. That’s their entire purpose for this. It’s much different from making a joke about something, you dig?

A lot of 4Chan users hopped onto the perverse bandwagon, comparing it to their “#bald4Bieber” campaign back in October 2012–that was another Twitter hoax that they hoped would encourage girls to shave their heads in solidarity with Justin Bieber, who they said had cancer (none of that was true, obviously). There’s a big difference between girls shaving their heads–which, if done under false pretenses, is pretty traumatizing in itself but not immediately dangerous–and girls cutting, which could be potentially deadly.

The threads were all taken down shortly after they were posted because–hello?! It’s insane, it’s sadistic, and it’s dangerous. But some damage may have been done: Pictures on Twitter, tumblr, and Facebook showed girls cutting. Cutting is serious, and seriously urging anyone else to do so suggests that you have really serious issues, possibly worse ones than actual cutters do (and those are bad).

I was in a pretty grumpy mood the past few days, but the cloud has been lifted: Taylor Swift and Harry Styles finally broke up.

No reason has been given or revealed for the split, but I have some insider info on the Taylor Swift and Harry Styles breakup: it was over me. And now Harry and I can finally quit the facades we’ve been putting up and be together.

The duo apparently called it quits during a vacation in the British Virgin Isles, and I couldn’t be more overjoyed. It’s only a matter of time now until my green-eyed prince comes for me, and when he does, he’ll even be tan!

The truth is, Harry Styles and I have been in love for a while. Sure, we each had our dalliances with others–me with douchebags disguised as nice guys and him with the biggest pop star on the planet right now–but it was all just biding our time, you know? Because we’re meant.

He’s English. I love English breakfast tea. He sings “Live While We’re Young.” I’m clinging onto the remnants of my own youth the way Taylor Swift does to most of the guys she dates. We both have natural curls. We both have tattoos. He looks good with his shirt off. I am no slouch in that department, either. He loves to party, I love to lurk in the kitchen and wait for parties to be over. He used to work in a bakery, I love to bake (and to eat cake). He introduced Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder, I play matchmaker for my pals so I can live vicariously through them. He travels a lot, I don’t mind airplane food. He’s sensitive. I sometimes have sensitive teeth if I drink something too cold. Can’t you see? This is destiny.

Sorry, Taylor Swift, but this is how it’s meant to be. I give you full license to use my name in your upcoming hits “One (Wrong) Thing,” “Not My Styles,” and “Wrong Direction.” Just please don’t tell anyone where I live.
