These Are The Only New Beauty Products Worth Trying This Winter

With cold winter weather comes a whole list of beauty issues: dryness everywhere, frizzy hair, chapped lips, and dull skin, just to name a few. Because of the temperature change, you should switch up your beauty routine a bit to focus on products that are hydrating, moisturizing, and luminizing. You want to focus on makeup that will give you a healthy looking glow, skincare products that will keep your whole body soft as a baby’s butt, and hair products that will make your natural texture do its best work. There are tons of new products out there that claim to do all of those things, but which are actually worth trying?

You obviously can’t try every single new beauty product on your own (if you can, give me a call so I can help!), and neither can we… but we can certainly try a whole lot of them. Here are a few of my top picks for new beauty products this winter. Whether you want to buy one thing or 20 items, want to spend a lot or a little, there’s something for everyone, from new lipstick to the best new face mask.

1. Too Faced White Chocolate Bar

Too Faced is known for their cult favorite Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette, and they’ve just released a brand new White Chocolate Bar palette inspired by the White Chocolate Chip Palette. Got it? Regardless, this palette is gorgeous. It’s full of beautiful pastel shades with amazing color payoff that would work for day or night looks. It will be available November 23, so get ready to grab it – I suspect it will fly off the shelves.

Too Faced White Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette, $49, Sephora

2. Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored

For the bold side of us all #STUNNA Lip Paint. Dropping 11/23 ?

A post shared by FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA (@fentybeauty) on

It only seemed right that Rihanna would eventually release a lipstick as part of her Fenty Beauty line, and honestly? It’s incredible. The pigment in this lip paint is unbelievable – I’ve never used anything like it! It glides on with an absolutely genius applicator tip, and you literally only need one swipe that will last for hours. It doesn’t feel dry, it’s so easy to apply, and the color is so, so good. Uncensored is a deep bright red that will work for the holidays and beyond. I can’t recommend this one enough, guys. It comes out November 23, and if you’re going to buy one beauty product this season, please trust me – make it this one.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color in Uncensored, $24, Sephora

3. Huda Beauty Eyeshadow Palette

Huda Beauty recently released mini palettes, and the Warm Brown option is my personal favorite (it’s the one to the left of the photo pictured in the hand). It includes lots of brown shades with one super sparkly gold. The pigment is great, and you can do so much with this small palette that’s easy to carry around.

Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Brown, $27, Sephora

4. Milk Makeup Holographic Power Quad

Oh man, where do I start with this little quad palette? First of all, the powders are ridiculously beautiful. Second, they glide on and look good on, I think, everyone. Third, the minimalist packaging is extremely on point. If you’re a big fan of highlighter, then trust me, you need this.

Milk Makeup Holographic Power Quad, $49, Sephora

5. AmazingCosmetics Illuminate Primer and Highlighter

Winter weather can easily mean dry, dull skin – not getting enough sun will do that to your face. I like to use illuminating products during the winter to get a glow that looks natural and healthy. This primer highlighter from Amazing Cosmetics gives that to you. You can use them as a primer base, or on their own. There’s so much product in this tube too, which is awesome.

Amazing Cosmetics Illuminate Primer Highlighter, $35, Ulta

6. Note Cosmetics BB Cream

About two years ago, I was obsessed with BB cream… then I discovered Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, and stopped using it. I’ve started again since I got this Note Cosmetics BB Cream. It’s great! It’s super lightweight and doesn’t feel cakey at all, but it also gives truly amazing coverage. I’ve been using it in place of foundation whenever I feel like having a more low-key makeup routine, and I’m really, really loving it.

Note Cosmetics BB Cream, $22, Note Cosmetics

7. JJ Young Pore Steam Mask

Different mask packs to suit your day! Get them at CVS #jjyoung #cvs #justenjoy #kbeauty

A post shared by JJ Young (@jjyoung_usa) on

Whenever I receive a Korean skincare product, I pretty much automatically assume it’s going to be good, and I’m usually not wrong. This Pore Steam Mask is no exception. It looks like a regular clay mask, but when you apply it, it feels warm as you massage it in and is super comforting. It was gentle on my skin, yet still left my face feeling super clean. The best part? This is easily accessible and affordable at CVS!

JJ Young Pore Steam Mask, $14.99, CVS

8. DHC Eyelash Tonic

If you’re a big fan of Hello Kitty, then you need to take advantage of this limited edition HK collection with DHC. My personal favorite is the eyelash tonic, which comes in a very adorable and fun bottle. It’s a conditioning gel that works to make your eyelashes feel super soft, and strengthens them as well.

DHC Hello Kitty Eyelash Tonic, $14.95, DHC

9. Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Butter
52493465
Dry skin puts up a hard fight in the winter – tackle it with a super hydrating body butter instead of just plain old lotion. I love this one from Vaselne, which smells great and leaves your skin feeling super smooth and luxurious… all for a great price point.

Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Smoothing Body Butter, $5.95, Target

10. Frank Body Magic Shimmer Oil

Another way to really moisturize your skin is to use a body oil. They sound messy, but they aren’t – when applied to damp skin after the show, body oils should easily melt into your skin, leaving you feeling super soft and smelling amazing. I love this oil from Frank Body because it feels lovely and leaves behind a slight bronze shimmer that will make it seem like you hung out at the beach for a few hours.

Frank Body Magic Shimmer Oil, $22, Urban Outfitters

11. Blaq Mask

Receive #freeshippingworldwide when you order 2 products or more ✔️ What will you be adding onto your #BLAQmask purchase ?

A post shared by BLAQ™ – #1 CHARCOAL SKIN CARE (@blaq.mask) on

This Blaq face mask is by far the best pull-off mask I’ve ever tried. It’s SUPER dark black and looks very Instagrammable. Leave it on for a bit, then pull it off in a sheet to clean out your pores like they’ve never been cleaned before. A little warning: this mask can hurt a bit, and it will leave your skin looking red and feeling a little irritated, so you might want to try it before bed, and be careful with it if you have sensitive skin. But honestly? It’s kind of life changing.

Blaq Mask, $29, Blaq

12. R+Co Crown Scalp Scrub

NIGHTMARE HAIR? Kill nasty build-up + deep clean w/ CROWN Scalp Scrub. ?

A post shared by R+Co (@randcohair) on

Let’s not forget about your hair – cooler temps can leave it looking frizzy and feeling crappy and dry. You might use more product to get it to look and feel better, and that’s where this scrub comes in. It removes product build-up and basically exfoliates your scalp for better hair days.

R+Co Crown Scalp Scrub, $38, Birchbox

13. Frank Body Send Nudes Lip Tint

Two tints: Cherry and Nude. Three ways: Lips, cheeks & lids. Cute icons: because cute. #letsbefrank

A post shared by frank body (@frank_bod) on

Chapped lips are kind of the worst. Keep your lips smooth and soft with Frank Body balms – and if you want a little color, get the new lip tints. I like the Send Nudes option, which is super subtle, but the Cherry Bomb is a great swipe of soft red.

Frank Body Send Nudes Lip Tint, $11.95, Frank Bod

14. Snow Fox Skincare Soothing Facial Mousse

This gentle mousse is hydrating but it also exfoliates. Apply it before bed, massage it in, leave it for a few minutes, then wash it off to reveal a brighter complexion. It’s very soothing and will leave you feeling so clean.

Snow Fox Skincare Soothing Facial Mousse, $35, Snow Fox

15. Amorepacific Treatment Enzyme Peel

Looking for a serious exfoliant? Probably, since the winter temps will leave skin dry and flakey. This powder exfoliant is truly awesome. It removes dead skin cells without leaving you feeling stripped, and it leaves skin so, so soft.

Amorepacific Treatment Enzyme Peel, $60, Sephora

16. Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment

This mud treatment is kind of like a facial in a bottle. The charcoal gets rid of impurities and bacterias, cleaning your face in a gentle yet effective way, while the clay absorbs oil and leaves your skin feeling brand new again.

Exuviance Detox Mud Treatment, $49, Ulta

17. Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater and Pink Peppercorn Hand Therapy

I don’t know about you, but I can’t go anywhere in the winter without a tube of hand lotion in my bag. My hands get so dry and icky in the cold! Besides the fact that this Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream is in gorgeous packaging, it also smells unique and lovely – it’s a little spicy! – and works quickly.

Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater and Pink Peppercorn Hand Therapy, $24, Crabtree & Evelyn

18. Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence

This Huxley product is so unique – it’s a mix of oil and essence, and it’s incredibly hydrating and wonderful for your skin. It absorbs quickly, and is packed with antioxidant rich ingredients that will not only make your skin look good, but also make it healthier.

Huxley Secret of Sahara Oil Essence, $58, Glow Recipe

19. Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Trio Palette

I love Kevyn Aucoin, but I’ll admit the products are usually pretty pricey. I think this Neo Trio palette is a terrific price point – it includes three awesome products for a great price. There’s a highlighter, bronzer, and setting powder, and everything is gorgeous and works so well. The coolest thing about the packaging is that these are magnetic, so you can always keep them together as a set.

Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Trio Palette, $58, Sephora

Want to keep your tan game strong through the winter, even if you don’t live in a warm climate or have any vacations planned? Then try this Bali Body set. It includes tanning lotion and three tanning oils, so you definitely do not need to go anywhere near a tanning salon. Everything will give you the perfect bronze glow.

Bali Body BB With The Lot, $85.95, Bali Body

21. Ole Henriksen Hygee HydraClay Detox Mask

Staying cozy from head to toe. Don’t forget to have some #hyggetime this weekend! #OleGlow

A post shared by OLEHENRIKSEN (@olehenriksen) on

In case you haven’t heard, “hygee” is the new “thing” in the USA. It’s a Danish word for a cozy moment, and basically means relaxation (sort of like self care). Ole Henriksen’s new Hygee line encourages all the relaxing, cozy moments, specifically ones that involve using this wonderful detox mask to make you feel amazing.

Ole Henriksen Hygee HydraClay Detox Mask, $32, Sephora

22. Curel HydraTherapy Wet Skin Moisturizer

I can’t stress enough how important a good moisturizer is during the winter, not just for your face, but for your body as well. I’m loving this Curel Wet Skin Moisturizer. It goes onto skin right when you get out of the shower, even before toweling off. It sinks right into wet skin (doesn’t need to be washed off!). You know that tight, dry feeling you sometimes get after a hot shower? Yeah, that doesn’t happen when you use this stuff. It’s life-changing.

Curel HydraTherapy Wet Skin Moisturizer, $10.99, Target

23. ThisWorks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

Can’t sleep, even if you have a big test in the AM? Keep this pillow spray close by. Spritz your pillow and breathe in the heavenly aromas of relaxing scents that will help you drift off to dream land.

ThisWorks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, $29, Birchbox

24. Commodity Fragrance

Okay, let’s forget the scent for a second and focus on the fact that these Commodity fragrances are packaged in the most perfect minimalistic way. I’m obsessed! And now let’s disucss the scent of Wool, which is rich and perfect for cold winter days. It even sounds cozy!

Commodity Fragrance in Wool, $105, Sephora

25. L’Occitane Advent Calendar

Every year, L’Occitane comes out with a holiday advent calendar full of beauty products, and I personally think it’s really worth the money. There are 12 days of samples in there, and you get to try out some truly awesome beauty products in the cutest way possible. Get ’em before they’re gone!

L’Occitane Signature Advent Calendar, $69, L’Occitane

26. Paul & Joe Cat Makeup Collection

As a lover of all things cats, I knew I needed this Paul & Joe Cat Collection as soon as I laid eyes on it. It includes a great lipstick, a shimmery eye gloss perfect for holiday, and a blush that will leave you looking just flushed enough. Plus, the round cat makeup bag is too adorable for words.

Paul & Joe Cat Makeup Collection, $79, ASOS

27. Flirt Cosmetics Major Metallics Eyeshadow Palette

Metallic Makeup Thanksgiving! Not one turkey color. See @kristenxleanne swatch vid. #shedontlie #playhardtoforget

A post shared by FLiRT Cosmetics (@flirtcosmetics) on

It can be tough to find a good, large eyeshadow palette for a decent price point, which is why I’m a big fan of this Flirt Cosmetics palette. It’s full of bright metallic shadows that will create some super fun looks to spice up your dreary winter days.

Flirt Cosmetics Major Metallics Eyeshadow Palette, $36, Flirt Cosmetics

28. NCLA Donut Glaze Nail Polish

Winter whites are great, especially when they’re on your nails. I love this Donut Glaze polish from NCLA, which is so pretty and glides on easily.

NCLA Donut Glaze Nail Polish, $16, NCLA

29. Marc Jacobs The Wild One Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette

When I first received this palette, I was like, “Okay, I definitely do not need another eyeshadow palette” and I planned on giving it away to a friend. Then I looked it, and knew I had to keep it forever. There are so many gorgeous shades here that offer so many different looks, and the pigment is perfect. I’m obsessed! It’s not a cheap palette, but if you love makeup, it’s worth it.

Marc Jacobs The Wild One Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette, $99, Sephora

30. Sara Happ The Sweet Clay Lip Mask

Sometimes chapped lips need to be fixed with something stronger than just lip balm. That’s where this amazing lip mask comes in. It’s a sweet clay mask that you’ll actually want to eat (please don’t) and it will leave your lips feeling incredibly hydrated. I couldn’t believe how soft my lips felt when I took this bright pink stuff off. Seriously, it’s a game changer.

Sara Happ The Sweet Clay Lip Mask, $32, Nordstrom

31. Skylar Coral Fragrance

I am a sucker for a pretty perfume bottle, and I love this one from Skylar – it’s so simple and beautiful. I also love the fragrance. Coral reminds me of spring and summer, and gives me a boost on freezing days. Skylar offers the option to take a fragrance test so you can find your perfect scent, or you can pick whichever one you choose!

Skylar Coral Fragrance, $78, Skylar Body

32. Zoya Sheri Nail Polish

There’s a lot of nail polish out there, but I think Zoya might be my favorite. It goes on so easily, lasts a long time, and always offers a beautiful shade. I love Sheri, which is a deep red that is perfect for winter.
