By now, I feel comfortable assuming that you have heard of Riverdale. The CW teen drama–which is a “subversive” take on the Archie comic series you might have read when you were younger–has become a bona fide hit over the course of its first season.
Because I am automatically drawn to any over-hyped, overwrought, sappy, soapy teen dramas (particularly the ones in which the teens are not played by actual teens, but rather by conventionally gorgeous, 23-year-old could-be Instagram models), I am, of course, obsessed with Riverdale. And, if you are not already, you should be too! Is it good, you may be wondering? Well, no. Not exactly. It is not “good” in the sense that shows like The Handmaid’s Tale and Big Little Lies are good, but it is “good” in the sense that The O.C. and Gossip Girl are good.
