Historically, the word “foreplay” has always been a bit of a bummer for me. (And, I assume, for everyone else in the world, too.)
Foreplay is bad not only because it sounds unnecessarily clinical and sanitary for something that is decidedly not clinical and sanitary, but also because the construction of the word, comprised of “fore” and “play” make it seem like it is merely the lead-up to a bigger, more important event.
But this, of course, isn’t exactly true. Many people consider foreplay to be the best part of hooking up with someone. And, of course, many other people use what is commonly thought of as foreplay as the main thing.So, the terminology is bad. But the act itself can be good! You just have to know what to do.
