8 Tips For Putting Together An Outfit Quickly In The Morning

I think we can all agree that the hardest part of the day is waking up. So, naturally, we press snooze 12 times and end up rushing to get ready in the morning. It happens, and I’m sure you do it at least once a week. You want to sleep, but you also want to look good, so that issue is that you end up waking up late and taking extra long to get ready. That time really does add up, and eventually your school will probably get concerned with the fact that you show up to school so late.  You might need to make some life adjustments and take less time getting ready in the morning.  And that is…hard.

I know that you want to sleep, so I’m not going to tell you to wakeup earlier in the morning. I am going to help you when it comes to picking out your outfit so that you don’t have to spend TOO much time choosing between jeans and a dress. There are some simple tricks that can help you pick out the perfect outfit while still making it to school on time. If you have been struggling to pick out your outfits before school, check out these tips on how to easily get changed in the morning.

Organize Your Clothes By Type

It will be hard to find an outfit if you are digging through your laundry, or a drawer filled with tips and dresses. Keep your shirt, tops, and blouses in one drawer and your skirts, leggings, and jeans in another drawer. When your clothes are organized, it will take a lot less time to pick things out to match them up and  make a complete outfit.

Take Pictures Of What You Look Like In Them

This is sort of silly but whatever. Whenever I wear an outfit that I really like, I take a good picture of it so I can remember exactly what it looked like on me. This way, when I'm struggling to get out of bed in the morning, I just look through my pictures and pick out something I look good in. It's much faster than having to actually physically try everything on.

Add Accessories

I know the outfit is important, but accessories are just as important as the clothes you wear! Sometimes, starting out by picking accessories will help you put together the whole outfit. If you have a bold necklace you want to wear, you can pair it with a solid-colored top and jeans or something to help the necklace pop. If you start with an accessory, the rest will follow!

Wear Something Comfortable

I'm sure that tight party dress looks GREAT on you, but when you're looking for outfits in the morning, it's best to stick with simple and comfortable things. You don't want to start your day wearing something tight or itchy, it will just make your whole day off.  Go for comfort!

Don't Overcomplicate It

Unless you're going to meet Harry Styles or something, you don't need to spend hours on your outfit. The more you think about it, the more you will second guess yourself. Pick something you like, put it on, and go on with your day. It will be easier than you think!

Don't Forget Shoes

I mean, duh, you're not going to forget to put on shoes, but they will really complete your outfit, so don't wait until the last minute to pick them out. Sometimes, you can base your whole outfit around your shoes. If you know you want to wear your cute flats, pair it with a pretty dress. See! Your whole outfit is basically ready.

Check The Weather

This is something that not many people think about, but it's pretty important. You don't want to be wearing a turtleneck if it's 80 degrees outside. Check the weather as you wake up and use that to help choose what's right for you.

Pick It Out The Night Before

If you are REALLY stuck and rushing every morning, your best bet is to just pick out your outfit the night before. It will save you time in the morning  since all you have to do is throw it on. You'll have more time to do your makeup, or sleep in. Your call.
