7 Female Things Guys Are Clueless About

When it comes to “girl” things, a lot of guys just don’t get it. Sure, there are some who THINK they understand what it’s like to be a girl, but when it comes down to it, they really have no effing idea. They might think they know what it’s like to be harassed on the street, but they honestly do not. They don’t get PMS, so they assume that we are being “dramatic” when it comes to a period cramps, or that we are too ~sensitive~. I think I speak for all women when I say that it’s total BS. Guys don’t understand what it’s like to be a girl, and the fact that they dismiss our emotions is ridiculous.

Sorry for the rant, but seriously, a lot of guys (cough cough men on Twitter) think they know everything there is to know about girls and how they think and act. This is wrong. Being a girl is complicated and hard, and you can’t really “get it” unless you are one. We are often underestimated and not taken seriously. Of course, that doesn’t stop guys from assuming they know what it’s like to be us. But, there are some things they are totally, 100 percent clueless about. Guys HATE being clueless, but it’s true! They don’t know what the F a vagina is! Here are some other things that guys will never actually understand.

What A Vagina Looks Like

A recent study found that half of men could not locate the vagina on a diagram, meaning they don't know what an actual vagina is, or where it is down there. I understand that female anatomy can be a little intimidating, but come on, they can't figure out something as basic as that? Or the clitoris.

Getting Cramps

If you ask a bunch of guys if they think that women exaggerate PMS, a good majority of them will say yes. They don't seem to realize just how painful it is. It's not just "a little pain," it's the feeling of 16 knives all being stabbed into your stomach at once. And, we are still expected to work and be functional people while experiencing PMS and period symptoms. Honestly, women are warriors. Guys will never understand what that's like. Don't even get me started on childbirth.

Walking Alone At Night

Guys can walk around alone without the general fear of being attacked or raped - they might sometimes worry about getting robbed, but it's not the same fear women face. No matter where you are, walking home alone at night can be really scary. Even on a college campus, where it's supposed to be safe, there are so many instances of girls getting attacked or followed, which is why we have a right to be scared when walking home alone, even if it's just a short walk.

Why We Get Dressed Up

Do guys really think that we wear $34 Nars lipstick is to impress THEM? Apparently so. Men seem to think that we take all of that time applying our makeup and getting dressed up for them. Sorry...that's not it. Sure, we might like the attention we get from guys, but we wear clothes that we like because we like them.

We Aren't Turned On By Your Naked Pics

You know how guys are always asking for naked Snapchats and such? Girls rarely ask guys for pictures. And guys don't really seem to understand why. Sure, guys will jump at the opportunity to exchange naked photos, but they don't seem to understand that we don't want their unsolicited penis pics.

Guys tend not to understand why catcalling is so gross and humiliating. Some of them even think it's a compliment. I'm sorry, but if we are walking down the street to get from one place to another does not mean that we want to hear every man's opinion about what we are wearing or what we look like.

Needing Validation

As girls, we are always told that we are too fat, too skinny, not pretty enough, wear too much or not enough makeup, etc. If we need some validation, give it to us. Don't say we are phishing for compliments or being needy. It's not our fault, it's society's!
