8 Easy Tips For Getting Ready Faster In The Morning

As we all know, this time of year is truly the worst. It’s still hot outside, but instead of heading to the beach, you are forced to go to a stuffy classroom in your school and try to listen to a lecture at 8 A.M. It sucks. It’s important to go to school, but it’s also pretty annoying to have to wake up super early to sit in a school for seven hours. What’s even worse is the fact that you probably want to look good when you get to school, but it can be hard to do that when you wake up at six in the morning when the sun is just barely up and you can barely put together a sentence let alone pick out a cute outfit. But, as someone who was late a LOT my freshman year, I can say that I learned a lot between then and now about getting ready quickly.

I know it’s hard, but you really need to work on it if you want to get to school on time and still look put together. Sure, you could wake up three minutes before you’re about to leave then just head to school in your pajamas, but you shouldn’t do that since you would probably look like a mess (sorry). You don’t need to look like a professional when you head to school, but you want to at least TRY to look good in the morning, which is why you should use these tips for getting ready faster in the morning. Good luck!

Put Your Alarm On The Other Side Of Your Room

This is a sneaky trick my dad taught me: if you're using your phone as an alarm, put it on the other side of the room when you go to sleep so that you are forced to walk over and turn it off when it goes off in the morning. Not only that, but it will also help you resist the urge to look at your phone in the middle of the night.

Make Your Lunch The Night Before

If you bring your lunch to school, you should make it the night before so you're not rushing to put together a sandwich when you're running out the door. If you want, you can even make your breakfast the night before so you will have something to look forward to when you wake up!

Set Out Your Outfit

I don't know about you, but what takes up most of my time in the morning is choosing an outfit. If you chose your outfit the night before, you clear up a ton of time in the morning so that you can sleep a little bit longer. It makes  a HUGE difference, trust me.

Pack Your Backpack

In the morning, it can be hard to remember to bring all of your important papers to school. You are sleepy and groggy and might end up forgetting that really important 12 page paper you've been working on for days. Pack all of your important school items like your folders, notebooks, and binders the night before so you don't have to stress about it in the morning.

Keep Your Makeup Organized

Lay out your makeup! If you spend most of your morning perfecting your smokey eye, be sure you lay out everything that you need the night before. It will save you a few minutes of sorting through your makeup bag.

Try A Simple Hairstyle

If you're running late, don't go for a complex updo or blow out. Try something simple but cute so that you can save some time. If you need some inspiration, check out these easy and quick hairstyles here.

Got To Sleep Early

Sleep is really important! I know that you want to stay up on Tumblr until one in the morning, but trust me, you will just feel horrible the next day. Try to set a consistent sleep schedule so that waking up will be a lot easier.

Listen To Music

If you can, put on some music as soon as you wake up. Don't put on slow jams like Adele, but something loud and energetic like Kesha. It will get your blood ~pumping~ so that you will actually be motivated to get out of bed and start getting ready. It's like your own movie montage! It's great!
