18 Summer Braid Tutorials Perfect For Beach Days

Personally, when I go to the beach, I like to get all of my hair out of face and off my neck. There are few things more uncomfortable than laying in the sand, hair sticking to your sweat, getting covered in sunscreen and saltwater, and potentially giving you weird tan lines (it happens). I usually just throw my hair into a messy bun and redo it a minimum of 25 times throughout the day, which is why my favorite beach hairstyle is a braided one. Braids are perfect for the beach – if they’re tight enough, they’ll stay put even if you get them wet, they’re low-maintenance, and they ensure that your hair won’t get in your way.

Now, of course, you could just put your hair in a braid and call it a day… but where is the fun in that? Whether you want to look a little extra cute for Instagram or your crush, or you just want to feel awesome during your beach day, the below hairstyles will definitely catch your eye. They’ll go perfectly with your new suit and your adorable sunglasses. Check out these summer braid tutorials, try a few out, and get ready for all of the compliments:
