7 Surprising Things That Could Be Giving You Buttne

Here’s a not-so-fun fact to consider: You can get pimples on your entire body. Yup, everywhere. You may already know this, but you can get them on your chest, back, boobs, and even your vagina. And, of course, you can also get them on your butt. There’s even a name for the last one: Buttne. (Isn’t that, um, nice?) If you’re finding you’re getting zits on your bum, you’ll obviously want to treat those pesky pimples, but to do that, it’s important to know what causes them.

Unlike the pimples we get on our faces that often sprout up thanks to hormones, body acne is usually linked to external things that we have more control over. This is good news–you can change it yourself–and bad news–it’s up to you to change it yourself. Argh. So, have a gander at seven things that could be causing your buttne, then make sure you alter what you’re doing. Chances are, your butt will be crystal clear in no time.

Your Body Wash Or Soap

How ironic is it that the products that are supposed to cleanse your skin could be the ones that are making you break out? It's ridiculous, but it can be true. Things such as fragrances or dyes in body washes and soaps can cause your skin to react. Same goes for thick, nourishing ingredients.

The Lube You're Using

Whether you're having anal or you prefer to only stick to vaginal sexy acts, your lubricant could be linked to your buttne. After all, that stuff gets everywhere. Lubes might be great for lubricating your nether regions, but they're not known for being things that keep your skin looking amazing. In fact, some of those lubricating ingredients can make you break out.

Your Workout

A sweaty gym session plus tight pants can equal buttne. And it's even more likely if you don't hit the showers after you get your fitness on. Why? Those tight leggings often trap the sweat and that can cause bacteria growth which leads to — yup, you guessed it — butt zits.

Your Pajama Bottoms

Do you wear the same pajama bottoms to sleep every night? And how often do you wash them? If you're lucky to wash them once a week, those dirty bottoms could be part of your bum pimple troubles. All that dirt from the days before will build up then transfer to your butt. You're welcome for that mental image.

Your Lotions, Creams, And Body Oils

Anything you put on your body can potentially be causing your buttne. Sometimes body products, especially nourishing ones, can cause breakouts because of the rich formulas that are meant to hydrate your skin. Also, watch out for anything with a shimmering finish. And don't forget to factor in your self-tanners.

Your Underwear

Underwear can be great, but it can also mess with our bodies. This is especially true if you're wearing the wrong pair. If you're rocking undies that aren't made from a breathable material like cotton, there is a possibility they are giving you your buttne. Switch to a not-too-tight cotton pair and your bum and your vagina will be happier.

Your Skinny Jeans

If you're a lover of tight pants, your addiction to skinny jeans, jeggings, and leggings, could be the root of your buttne. Any sort of tight clothing can cause you to breakout on any part of your body because it traps in the sweat. If you suspect this is the case with your bum, try switching to lose pants for a few days and see if the situation improves.
