You Won’t Believe What Girls Are Putting In Their Vagina

There are a lot of weird things girls do to their vaginas: dye it, use stencils, and even put little hats on it (random, but okay). These aren’t terrible ideas, they just aren’t entirely necessary. But, every once in awhile, there is a vagina product that comes out that sounds weird, but can actually be pretty freaking useful. And, this time, it is a fun little thing called a vagina popsicle.

Yes, vagina popsicles. And get this: they are made with condoms. So, definitely not something you would want to actually eat, despite the confusing name. I had actually heard about vagina popsicles before, but they seem to be getting super “trendy” right now. And for good reason! They have a legit purpose in that they help ease pain after childbirth. All it is is a frozen condom filled with water, like so:

Odds are good that you won’t be having a child anytime soon, which means you won’t have extreme vaginal discomfort from that particular situation, so you might think these don’t apply to you. But for a lot of young girls, sex can be pretty painful, and can make your vagina swell and hurt, which totally sucks and ruins the idea that sex is supposed to be this ~magical act~ that every girl can do. Because of this, some girls have been using vagina pops to give some relief to their lower regions. Sound like something you need? Cool! Except, hold on just one second before you start filling condoms with water and stocking them in your freezer – there are some rules to this DIY treatment.

Rule number one is to never EVER put the frozen condom directly inside of you. That can bring a ton of bacteria into your body, plus it will be cold AF and uncomfortable. Katie Page, a nurse from Virginia, recommends that you fill a condom with water, freeze it, then wrap it in a cotton t-shirt or towel before resting it in between your legs. This way, it won’t freeze your vagina completely, but still help easy any pain or discomfort. Plus, the condom pop is perfect shape to fit right in between your legs with no hassle.

So, if you ever get pain or discomfort after sex, it might not be a bad idea to try this frozen condom method. Again, you shouldn’t ever directly insert it into your vagina, and you really don’t want to have the ice pack directly touching your skin, but, supposedly, these vagina popsicles will really save your life if you’re prone to after sex pain. Try it out, if you want! If anything, it will definitely come in handy this summer when you’re looking for some heat wave relief.
