You most likely already know that there are a ton of things that you can do if you have acne. The tips range from switching up your skincare routine on your own to spending a lot of money on different products to find one that works to heading to a dermatologist for some professional advice. Those are great and all, but, no offense, they are also boring and can be expensive. Acne SUCKS, there is no way around it, and anyone who tells you to “get over it” has clearly never had a serious breakout in their life. But, just because it sucks, doesn’t mean you can’t have at least a little bit of fun with it, right?
Okay, what do I mean by “have fun with your acne?” Let me explain: acne constellations. LOL, what? I know it sounds weird, but it’s actually really cute. A French artist named Izumi Tutti began to turn her acne into beautiful works of art by adding stars and glitter to it. I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed and want to do this to my face right now. I know that acne and art don’t normally mix well together, but you need to check it out:
She started a little game of “connect the dots” on her face, which turned into a shimmery portrait of the night sky. HONESTLY, I love this. Sure, it’s a little corny, but it shows that we are all humans who have imperfections, so we might as well have fun with them, right? It does draw attention to your skin, but then people will see how pretty and unique this look is.
In addition to the spacey looks, she has also been known to add flowers and vines to her eyebrows, which totally gives new meaning to the whole “Instagram brow” trend of 2016. It can also PERFECTLY hide your brows if you have been neglecting to pluck or fill them in.
The best part about the constellation acne looks is how she totally embraces it. She is not ashamed of her face and loves to share her art with others on her social media. When an Instagram user commented suggesting she get Proactiv, Izumi totally shut her down.
YES GIRL. You tell them. There is nothing wrong with doing what you want with your skin, even if it includes drawing little stars. It is YOUR face! You do you! People obviously loved her idea, which just makes me think (and hope) that this becomes the next big trend of 2017.
