Getting into a relationship is something that, on a surface level, sounds relatively easy. Like, someone asks you out. You say yes. You hang out, and keep hanging out until, eventually you are hanging out with each other all the time, and, if you don’t hate each other at that point, you are in a relationship. See? Easy.
But, a lot of the time, it’s not actually that simple. The thing about relationships is that getting into one often depends on more than just good timing and simultaneous liking (though that’s obviously important, too). You also need to be in the right place emotionally, which sounds corny, but is true–all the good timing and simultaneous liking in the world won’t work if you aren’t ready for a relationship.
