Halloween is the best night of the year because you can dress up literally however you want. You can wear something spooky, funny, or unlike anything you would wear on a normal basis. You want to be a witch? Awesome. You want to be a minion? That’s fine too, I guess. You want to be Harambe? Please don’t. But as someone who loves TV shows, being a TV character is probably the best costume, IMO. It’s topical, but not boring, and it’s a cute and a fun way to show your love for your fave show. The best part about TV character costumes is that they normally wear regular clothes that I’m sure you have laying around your house. No crazy elaborate makeup or costume required. Whether it’s a classic 90’s character or something more up to date (Scream Queens is my personal fave), TV characters are always a good costume idea.
But still, you want to be able to have a unique costume and not end up in a sea of Pretty Little Liars characters. You want people to recognize you, but you still want to stick out a little bit. You want to be able to have a costume that will have everyone thinking “OMG, why didn’t I think of that?” If you’re not feeling creative or you have no idea where to start, start here, because I’ve thought up some really great ideas for you. Here are some super simple DIY costumes based on your favorite TV show characters. Happy Halloween, witches!
