16 Halloween Tattoos That Actually Look Cool All Year Round

Okay, so, here’s the thing: I am not here to tell you what to do. But if I were to, like, echo what most other people might tell you what to do (on the occasion that they were telling you to do something), I think most people would agree that, as a general rule, it is not exactly wise to get a tattoo (i.e. a thing that is very permanent) in honor of something that is not all that permanent. Like, you should maybe not get Kylie Jenner’s lip kit swatches tattooed on your arm (but do it if you want!). Or, you should think twice about getting Drake‘s name tattooed right on your forehead because, while your love for him might be eternal, future employers may not see it that way. And, by this logic, you should maybe not get a holiday-themed tattoo–like, it might be useful for one out of 365 days of the year, but for the other 364 it’s…not.

But I would like to make a counterpoint right now, and that counterpoint is: Halloween tattoos. Halloween is the internet’s favorite holiday, after all, so getting a Halloween-related tat (provided you are of the legal age to get one and/or have your parents’ consent) is a great way to ensure that it feels like Halloween the whole year. Plus, a lot of the imagery that’s commonly associated with Halloween–skeletons, ghosts, cats–work well outside of a Halloween-related context, too. So, check out these super cool Halloween tattoos that actually look cool all year round:
