Overalls. Pokemon. Chokers. Am I talking about 1998? Nope, I am talking about 2016. The trends of the late 1990s have been making their way back into society quicker than you can say “As if” in your best Cher Horowitz voice, and while some are questionable, others are awesome. My favorite re-emerging trend is the choker. I will give you a little history lesson on your new favorite accessory. In the late 1800s, it became a sign of royalty to wear a choker. So, yes, wearing a choker does make you a queen. But way back when queens were wearing them, they were often made up of velvet and pearls AKA they were a lot of money.
Even today, the blinged-out accessories can cost a bit much. I won’t name any names, but I recently went to a store and was shocked to find a simple choker that was over $200. Um, what? Nothing so little (or so trendy) should cost that much! Yet, so many companies are trying to get in on the choker trend by charging you prices that will use up all of your hard-earned money. Well, never fear, because I have found the cutest and most inexpensive chokers to make your neck look like royalty. Check them out here:
