The 25 Funniest Responses To The #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty Hashtag

When it comes to celebrity gossip, it’s been kind of a quiet summer – until today. In case you haven’t been on Twitter or the Internet in general, allow me to explain the glorious details of what everyone is talking about right now: the ever-escalating drama between Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, which has led to one of Twitter’s better hashtags, #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty.

As most of you probably already know, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris broke up a few weeks ago, and Taylor was almost immediately spotted in various PDA photos with Tom Hiddleston (which I am convinced are fake, BUT that is a story for another time). Not surprisingly, rumors that Taylor cheated on Calvin with Tom erupted all over the Internet, leading to some slight bitterness on Calvin’s end. But it was all tame until today, when *someone* started a “rumor” that Taylor Swift ghost-wrote (meaning she wrote it under a fake name) Calvin’s hit song “This Is What We Came For.” I’m not sure who started it (although I can say with confidence it was Taylor’s team) or why (maybe to make Calvin look bad?), but the bizarre claim ended up being confirmed by her rep… and Calvin was pissed.

In a series of tweets, Calvin successfully dragged Taylor as best he could, making the point that while she might seem sweet and innocent, Taylor is actually manipulative and cutthroat, the celebrity who will tear others down to make herself look better. Hey, his words (basically), not mine! But I do agree with them. I’ve heard too many insider stories about Taylor to ever believe her conveniently “feminist” girl power attitude when the word becomes popular or her “I’m so sweet I love everyone why are you mean to me!” wide-eyed faces. And it’s about time that someone said something… someone besides Katy Perry, obviously.

Anyway, from here, the #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty hashtag began – and the responses are amazing, especially if you’re not a Swiftie. Twitter users immediately brought up the many celebrity fights Taylor has been part of (Katy Perry, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Harry Styles, to name a few) and dragged her even more. Is Taylor Swift actually over? No, and she won’t be for a very long time – girl is nothing if not successful. But for now, it’s kind of satisfying to see her get so much negative attention, to be honest. Do I jam out to 1989? I do, but I can’t say I’m a fan of her personality. Anyway, let’s enjoy these hilarious responses together, shall we?

I don’t really care for Ms.Swift but the need to write an entire article dedicated to cerebrating the negativity going towards her is kind of less than appealing as a whole. What’s the point? Even if you add the last this basically comes across very…well gross all around.
