Will we, as a society, ever be free from the clutches of relationship goals? You know, those pictures of couples cavorting about with giant teddy bears, traveling the world with money from some mysterious, unknown source (because none of them work, obviously), leaving Pringles on their lovers’ doorsteps, and confessing that they are not above faking a pregnancy to prevent their boyfriend from going to someone else’s housewarming party? I don’t think so. In fact, I think we are so deeply embedded in #RelationshipGoals culture that it is almost impossible what life was like before the whole concept existed.

But while relationship goals as a whole are basically impossible to avoid–they permeate Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, everything–it’s harder to find ones that you’d actually want to achieve and don’t cause reflexive eye rolls upon first glance. But there are some relationship goals that actually are relatable. You just have to look for them.
