There’s nothing wrong with being single, but it can be lonely sometimes… and a lot of people have that feeling more during the holiday season. In the middle of December, when everyone is talking about love and everything seems a little bit more romantic, a lot of things can remind you of your single relationship status, and that can bum you out. I get it – that was me for a few years. I felt sad to not have anyone by my side during family dinners or holiday parties. Every time I went gift shopping, I was reminded that I didn’t have a special someone to buy gifts for. It was depressing!
But after one year of feeling that way, I got over it and realized that being single during the holidays is actually kind of awesome. I had spent so much money on boyfriends in the past! I realized that I had so much extra time to devote to enjoying the holiday season – and it honestly was great. So, if you’re feeling down, don’t. Here are 10 tips on how to be happy being single during the holidays that I hope will cheer you up.

Come Up With A Sassy Response To Nosy RelativesOne of the worst things about being single is dealing with your relatives who are all like, "Oh, alone again for the holidays?" or "Don't you know any nice boys at school?" and you're like "Leave me alone and let me live."
