7 Tips On How To Stop Clenching Or Grinding Your Teeth

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed that my teeth have started to shift a little. It’s really annoying because I wore braces and my retainer for a long time. This shouldn’t happen! But then I realized that when I’m really stressed and anxious (read: all the time), I clench my teeth in my sleep. This can cause teeth to shift, headaches and more.

Teeth-clenching or grinding is known as bruxism and can be done whether you’re asleep or awake. I only do it in my sleep, but a lot of people subconsciously do it during the day as well. Clenching my teeth is making my teeth shift and is causing me to wake up with bad headaches and a sore jaw. It’s gotta stop so I’ve found a few tips on how to stop this bad habit:

    My sister grinds her teeth in her sleep, so she has a mouth guard, but she had to get a new one because she actually grinded right through it!
