I love texting and generally prefer it to being on the phone. I do still make calls quite frequently, but usually just to my family and when I’m on the go because texting and walking is dangerous. Texting is a great way to communicate because it’s fast and easy. It does have downfalls, like not being able to accurately portray sarcasm, but I still enjoy it.
I’m one of those people who likes to text strictly in emojis. I use emojis like its my day job, and sometimes I don’t even need words. The world would be so much more fun if everyone embraced the emoji life and made texting more fun. I’ve also discovered a lot of super awesome apps that have upped my texting game tremendously. I guarantee these apps will make you the queen of texting:
You guys, imoji is my new favorite thing ever. It lets you make emojis out of anything you want, including your face! You can share emojis within the app and search for ones other users have made. It's amazing. You make your own and then copy it and paste it into a text! It's currently only available for iPhone.
Pimp My Text
Pimp My Text is super fun for jazzing up your text bubbles. You can color them, add patterns and even apply a GIF background. You can change the fonts too!
Pop text is so fun! It adds some vibrant flare to your texts and lets you create visual texts with images and word overlays. Available for iPhone and Android!
Ultra Text adds '80s-style custom GIFs to your texts. You can make text GIFs and even add pictures as well! So cool! It's only available on iPhone right now, but you can request it for Android!
Viber is one of the coolest apps, and it's what I used to communicate with friends overseas before iMessage came out. Since then, it's available on almost every device and allows you to send fun texts and stickers. It even allows free calling!
If you have an iPhone, you can enable emojis on your keyboard. But with the emoji app, you can copy new emojis that haven't been added to the keyboard and use them in your texts!
SMS Rage Faces
SMS Rage Faces is similar to imoji in that it lets you search for premade stickers to use in texts. But what I love about this is that its library is filled with meme emojis like "Rage Face" and "Surprised Patrick." It's available for iPhone and Android.
