15 Of The Best Goth Girls From TV And Movies

Today is World Goth Day! Yes, today the world is celebrating the loveliness of all things goth and all of those who wish to partake in its wonders. I’ve never identified as a goth, but I’ve always had some love for the aesthetic and I love ’80s goth rock like The Cure so…that must count for something? But I’ve always loved goth characters in TV shows and movies, especially the girls like Lydia from Beetlejuice or Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. They were just always so comfortable in their own skin, very take it or leave it, this is me. There’s something really empowering about seeing that, especially as a kid.

To celebrate, here’s a roundup 15 of the best goth girls in movies and TV. Of course, whether some of them are really goth or not will always be debatable, but one thing is certain: They definitely embrace a little darkness in their lives.

Great list, but Lisbeth Salander from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo should DEFINITELY be added in my opinion. She’s awesome on multiple levels. One of the most unforgettable characters ever.

I don’t consider Janice Ian “goth” – she was an Art Freak.

Love this list but what about Ingrid Third? (supporting main character from Fillmore!) Tara Strong, who also voices Raven from Teen Titans played her, plus she’s got the style and unfazed attitude to boot.

Are you serious? How the hell could you make this article and then have the dumbest CARTOONS in it and not include Janice from Mean Girls. This page needs new writers. . .

    • Honorable Mention: Janice Ian.

And hey, cartoon goths deserve some love, too.

    • Velouria

Wow, calm down. It’s just an article.

I never thought Janice Ian was goth. She was just a pinky art freak.
