10 Ways To Tell If You’re Going To Have A Nightmare Prom

Prom is supposed to be this big and fun event that’s essentially the best moment of your high school career besides graduation. You get to dress up all fancy, have fun hair and makeup and just enjoy an awesome dance with your friends. It’s a pretty huge deal, which means there’s a lot of pressure surrounding the whole ordeal.

Any big event can turn into a disaster, and fortunately we have some tips on how you can avoid some prom problems. I’d love to say that your prom is going to be perfect, but I really can’t guarantee that. I will say that the key to having an awesome prom is managing your expectations and stress levels. Here are 10 signs you’re going to have a nightmare prom:

You have crazy high expectations about what prom will be like.

You expect a romantic gesture from your prom date.

You don’t really plan your day out well so you’re rushing to get a last minute hair appointment.

Or you’re really difficult when it comes to making plans so your group makes you do it and you’re like:

You don’t break in your shoes.

You actually hate the idea of prom but are going anyway to troll everyone.

You swear if anyone has your dress, you’re going to rip it right off their body when you see them.

You think prom is going to be like it is in the movies.

You don’t eat anything so you pass out while dancing.

You don’t go.

I knew back when I was a freshman in high school I was not going to my senior prom. I didn’t even go to junior prom. And I honestly do not regret it at all. Prom, to me, has always been a night where people expect so much and are disappointed in the end.
