    liked it very much

  • like each n every hack shared..eager to try them all

  • Thanks for the great post, hair styling is my favorite… always looking for tips and tricks that save time and feels great.

  • Catherine

Again, I guess only girls with straight / slightly wavy hair can do these tips and tricks which make their life easier…even though their hair is pretty much tame and they don’t need their hair life any easier.. My hair is extremely thin but very very curly and frizzy. I don’t have the typical thick, curly hair or the thin, straight and shiny hair. So none of the hairstyles were helpful.

    • Kristi

I think the trick with the dryer sheet in the hairbrush would help with the frizziness. It’s something I’m definitely going to try. Plus, the tip about bobby pins, cleaning hair brushes. Plus, It might be good to put your hair in braids to help control your curls and the frizz.

(Yes, I’m old, but you never stop bing a girl at heart!)

    • katie

not all of us with straight hair have it tame and easy. without waves or volume our hair gets very oily which doesnt really happen to those with the counter hair style.

  • christina

I love them all .. But I think I’ll be trying the braids with the hot iron And also the ponytail trick with bangs

  • Laura

Very clever ideas, can’t wait to try them all!

  • ayaMaya

The flipped bobby pin…life changing information! All these years i have been using them, it never struck to use it the other way….and all the time my hair kept slipping from it. Thank you!

How do you even make your hair wavy *without* braiding it? I’ve never done it any other way.

And to make it easier, if you have thick hair, just do two French braids after you wash your hair, sleep in them, and then take them out in the morning. It lasts 2-3 days. 🙂

    • Brittani

Do the twisting one, but pin it to your head over night.

No Offense Or Nothing But How Come They Always Have Hair Styles And Hair Tips For White People….TRUST ME… African American Hair Is JUST As Difficult And I’m Pretty Sure They Would Love Hair Advice …. I’m Looking For New Styling Tips Anyways…. #Notracist #justsaying

    • Amanda Banditalamode

Well, maybe encourage people with that kind of of hair to step up and make their own info graphic?

    • Vixivian Xequectra

This is a list picked out by one person that details what works or may work for them. Please, I encourage you to create an article that contains African American hair tips, as well as Cambodian, Latino, Caucasian, South African, Egyptian, Puerto Rican, and Korean hair tips. Show me a blog that has them all in one post. You cannot? How dare they!? It must be racist.

There are plenty of African American hair tips, blogs, and websites out there, as well as some for every single hair type possible out there. Just as every single one of those do not always contain hair tips for Caucasian or Latino women, it is fair to assume that racism is not a part of this, but rather reaching towards a particular demographic for every post.

Perfect example in place, from this same website: http://www.gurl.com/2015/07/14/easy-no-heat-summer-hairstyles-for-girls-with-natural-black-hair/
      Do you see anyone posting this?;

These are all very pretty and handy but most of them only helpful for girls with thin and straight hair. There’s nothing here for girls with thick hair, or naturally curly, wavy, even frizzy hair. Consider that some of us do not need extra fullness in our ponytails or more waves to our hair, at the contrary, we need tips to keep the frizz away, maintain it sleek and straight and make the hair appear thinner.
I would love to see an article with more varied tips. Thank you 🙂

    • Ashley

Omg, I agree with you. I have thick and frizzy hair!

    • Anna

      Exactly!

    • Faith

TOTALLY~ That’s the problem with a ton of beauty mags and ‘tips’ like this. They may be helpful, but only to a certain ‘hair demographic’, if you will. Coming from a black girl with naturally frizzy, short, thick, hair I always thought that there was something wrong with ME because there was such a limited representation of girls with my type of hair out there. It sucks and it’s kinda unfair :c More Diversity please!

    • Colette

I completely agree! I don’t need any extra volume. Some curl-taming hacks would be helpful, too.

      • gina

I absolutely agree with this!! my hair is really thick and curly
