It’s hard to believe that spring is actually going to come around soon, but it will. I know it’s really cold right now. I mean, there’s still snow on the ground from our last storm, and there’s more on the way. I haven’t even bothered to look at any of my spring clothes because I know I can’t wear them right now.
However, it’s never too early to prepare for the next season. Spring lines are starting to pop up in stores because it’s going to be here before you know it. Better to start getting ready now instead of waiting until that first warm day and realizing you have nothing to wear. Make sure you have these spring staples in your closet this year:
Break out those Easter egg colors! Sure, you can wear pastels in the winter but they really pop in the spring. There's a reason they're go-to colors every year.
I firmly believe in wearing maxi skirts year-round, but spring time is perfect for them. Sometimes the weather is warm, but it might be a little chilly so maxi skirts keep you from being to hot or cold. And you can pair them with tanks, tees or a sweater.
Denim Button Down
I'm obsessed with denim button downs. They look great with jeans, shorts, skirts and over dresses. You really can't go wrong. Grab one that's slightly over-sized for layering!
I'm so excited to break out my green jeans this spring. I've missed them so much! This spring is heavily focusing on jeans of all colors from bright blue to hot pink.
Sometimes it gets a little cool, especially in the shade. Always be prepared with a light cardigan just in case.
The sun is finally coming out of hiding, and you'll definitely want to protect those pretty eyes of yours. FYI, reflective lenses are really in right now.
Scarves aren't just a winter thing. I mean, you don't want to rock that wool scarf in the spring because it'll be too hot. But a lightweight scarf, possibly with a print, will look great with any spring outfit. And you can't go wrong with a white tee and a scarf.
