Justin’s mugshot has officially hit the Internet.
According to reports, Justin Bieber was arrested in Miami, Florida last night for driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license. As I’m sure you can imagine, the Internet is going crazy with reactions to the news. And honestly, most of the reactions are pretty gross.
I’ve heard/seen an uncomfortable amount of people expressing their joy at Justin Bieber being arrested for a DUI. Even as a fan, I get that Justin has been acting like an entitled jerk lately, but I still can’t wrap my mind around why ANYONE would be happy about watching a young person’s life spiraling out of control. Does Justin deserve to be arrested for a DUI? Of course he does! A DUI is never acceptable and no one should be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, ever. This is a serious offense – he could have hurt or even killed someone else or himself. It’s not a joke and nothing that should be taken lightly.
However, that doesn’t mean his haters should be happy that he’s obviously messing up his life. It also doesn’t mean that his fans should defend his every move right now, which is what a lot of Beliebers are doing. Twitter is full of either people who are thrilled that Justin got arrested or people who are defending his actions. I feel sorry for Justin, because he clearly needs help right now. But I’m not going to defend his arrest. What he did was wrong, plain and simple. He deserved to get in trouble for it. With that said, here are 15 ridiculous responses to his arrest… because you seriously won’t believe some of these people really think this way.

NO. Don’t glorify his mugshot by making it your phone lock screen! It is not cool or okay.
What is wrong with this world that a 19 year old kid can’t drag race in his yellow Lamborghini at 4:09am while drunk? #FreeJustinBieber

My only hope is that this is sarcasm. Please let it be sarcasm.

He’s so young! :'( Everyone makes mistakes, but just bcz he’s famous the media exaggerates everything! #FreeJustinBieber #FreeBieber

Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but drunk driving is a BIG mistake. Being young is not an excuse. And yeah, the media exaggerates things, but they aren’t exaggerating about this.

This is why it’s a problem when a celebrity like Justin Bieber gets arrested for something like a DUI. His fans think it seems cool. And it’s not. In any stretch of the imagination.

Please don’t say things like that.
if my baby said he did nothing wrong he didn’t do nothing wrong he was just having fun like every teenager does #freejustinbieber
— April 15. (@badgerashanti) January 23, 2014
Drunk driving is NOT having fun like any other teenager. No one should be doing it. It’s not fun and it’s not okay or acceptable.

He is in jail FOR A REASON. You shouldn’t be protesting anything. He deserves to be in jail right now!

— kendra salter (@mskendrasalter) January 23, 2014
It’s not your fault. It’s his fault. He made the decision to drink and drive. End of story.
Lastly, his every move is caught on camera. People are bound to try anything to make him look bad. Give him a break, he’s human too.
— Justin Bieber Crew (@JustinCrew) January 23, 2014
Right. But in this case, he really did do the wrong thing. He made himself look bad.
What if justin came on today and tweeted “Lol”
— Justin Bieber (@bieberorder) January 23, 2014
…That would be awful.
If I was a young kid who behaved sort of badly and then everybody in the world talked about it, I’d probably keep doing it too….
— Hoodie Allen (@HoodieAllen) January 23, 2014
But… that doesn’t make any sense.
